Time to take a break from Bordeaux reds and visit the neighbours! This tour isn’t what people expect when then visit Bordeaux. Red wines yes, maybe some whites, but here I want to show you something completely different. That’s part of the beauty of our region, we have so much diversity when it comes to food and wines. This is perfect if you have already visited many properties for red wine and want to see something off the beaten track. So trust me and follow me where I grew up, the land of Armagnac. It’s not as famous as Cognac and probably never will be, but that’s because it’s more exclusive and more about tradition. It is made in a very similar way. It is a Brandy, but with lot of personality that makes it unique and one of the oldest « eau de vie”, if not the oldest. We will also enjoy some local food and on the way back, to refresh the palate, we’ll have to stop at the home of the very historic and iconic local aperitif, Lillet. Lillet was once the most widely consumed aperitif wine in the US! And it’s only a 30 minutes drive from Bordeaux.
